Dryer Vent Cleaning

Dryer lint caused 16,800 residential fires last year in the US. These preventable fires caused 15 deaths, 300 injuries and about $88 million US in property damage. Unfortunately there are no available stats here in Canada.

 

It is important that you have your dryer vents inspected annually. Lint can build up in your dryer vent, reducing air flow to the dryer, backing up dryer exhaust gases, creating a fire hazard.

 

The first sign that you have a lint build up in your vent, is that your laundry takes longer to dry. If after 45 minutes of drying your clothes are still damp, you may have a serious issue.  Not only are you wasting money on your energy bill, but you could have a fire.  The dryer is designed to exhaust the heat and the moisture while it's drying. If that heat can't escape fast enough through the vent it causes a heat build up which could eventually lead to a fire.

Every cleaning will include the following:

• Inspection: Our technicians will assess your dryer vent system using a visual inspection as well as a pressure test, and recommend the required services.

• Debris & Clog Removal: Lint, animal nests, and other items that may clog your dryer vent are removed.

• Vent Line Sanitizing: Sometimes animals build nests in the line, if an animal nest is discovered, we highly recommend having the line sanitized.

• Lint Screen Cleaning: You remove lint from the screen every load, but a more thorough cleaning as part of our dryer vent cleaning service can also increase airflow and efficiency of your dryer.
